Hey Guys,

Does anyone know how you say 'without' and 'no' in Zulu as in
without water
or no food

I think I am correct in saying that 'no eating' is 'akudliwe' (that is add a before the infinitive of the passive), but what about other uses?

Also I how do you use two nouns as the subject of a sentence e.i what is the subject concord. For people I think its 'ba-' as in uJohn noSipho baya esitolo. But what if it was the cat and dog or the boy and his pet.

Thanks

Graham

you can also use ngaphandle-(not ngaphandle as in outside)

example: man cannot leave without water and food
umuntu angeke aphile ngaphandle kwamanzi nokudla

no eating= akudliwa not akudliwe.
